Chocolate black sugar Cake

Gosh! This is a devil dessert.

Originally I made my mind to do something called"Devil dogs- chocolate cakes with creamy filling" by Pionner Woman. But the creamy goes with the chocolate is really too rich for me. so just to skip the creamy filling & topping. and switch something lightier and still tasty!!


Chocolate black sugar Cake

Adapted from Pioneer Woman

Pre time: 30 mins
Cook time: 20 mins

Ingredients:
For the cake
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 2 cup Sugar  1/2 Black Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoons (heaping) Cocoa powder
  • 1/4 chocolate sheet
  • 2 sticks Butter  1/3 stick Butter
  • 1 cup Boiling Water
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk
  • 2 whole Beaten Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
FOR frosting:
  • sprinkle of Finely Chopped cashew nuts
  • 1-3/4 stick Butter  1/5 Butter
  • black chocolate sheet
  • 4 Tablespoons Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
混合麵粉 鹽於大碗中
In a saucepan, melt butter. Add cocoa &(zoe memo:I add chocolate sheet)  Stir together.
Add boiling water, allow mixture to boil for 30 seconds, then turn off heat. Pour over flour mixture, and stir lightly to cool.

醬料鍋中 融化奶油加進可可粉(和巧克力磚) 攪拌
加進滾水 在火上煮30, 關火, 到進剛剛混勻的麵糊, 輕攪至冷卻
In a measuring cup, pour the buttermilk and add beaten eggs, baking soda, and vanilla. Stir buttermilk mixture into butter/chocolate mixture. Pour into sheet cake pan and bake at 350-degrees for 20 minutes.
牛奶, 打散的蛋, 蘇打粉, 香草加進量杯中,再加進剛剛的麵糊攪拌均勻, 混合物倒進蛋糕平底鍋, 放進350F/175C烤箱約20
While cake is baking, make the icing. Chop pecans(zoe memo: I used cashew nuts.) finely. Melt butter in a saucepan. Add cocoa, stir to combine, then turn off heat. Add the milk, vanilla, and powdered sugar. Stir together. Add the pecans, stir together, and pour over warm cake.
趁著蛋糕烘烤時, 來作作蛋糕上的巧克力塗醬, 切碎胡桃(我用腰果-哪裡有胡桃押), 在醬料鍋中開火融化奶油, 加進可可粉攪拌, 關火, 加進牛奶, 香草, 糖粉, 攪拌均勻, 最後加進胡桃,將塗醬倒到剛剛作好的蛋糕體上抹平
P.S. I've replaced sugar by Black Sugar, which make the whole flavor to the other dessert,in Chinese which is called"black sugar cake黑糖糕". I just smile with one bite. Not bad. ha! Though not perfect, it's my choco bady! and still smell so goood!
